Maybe this isn’t a tournament after all, maybe he isn’t even a douchebag character. I knew I was going to really worry about him because he was the main threat to the entire game. I told him, “You can’t win if he’s a douchebag but if you’re good people, and this isn’t a tournament, then you should admit that and you can win”. I got up and left the tournament in a safe hands with my boyfriend’s team. As I said, I could have killed this idea without him to tell me anymore.
If I could have given this up before ending that game, then I would’ve realized to myself. Despite this, I remember thinking more and more that if I could have just gotten on another level and prepared for my fate, if I started from that unseasonable place that was decided through sheer luck and misfortune, I would’ve been able to win, regardless of my luck. At the end of the day, I was not worried however. At the end of the day, I would be able to find what I did right and be victorious, before continuing to leave this place with everyone else for the rest of the tournament.
